Weight loss injections

At the moment, our GP practice is unable to prescribe Mounjaro (tirzepatide) because it is not currently approved for prescribing in primary care by the Devon Integrated Care Board (ICB) for weight loss.

This is a decision made at a local commissioning level, and unfortunately, it's not something we can override at the practice.

Commissioners are presently reviewing options for the provision of Tirzepatide (Mounjaro®) across both specialist services and primary care. Once it is made available there is likely to be high demand, it is not known at this stage how long the wait will be.
